Mount Pleasant Business Improvements Association helps build and foster the overwhelming sense of community the neighbourhood has become known for. Mount Pleasant has a strong commercial district located in northeast corner of the neighbourhood. This commercial district is home to Hootsuite (one of Vancouver’s first and biggest tech startup companies) and a wealth of craft breweries, including one of the city’s first, R&B Brewing.
Jonathan Roger’s Park is Mount Pleasant’s largest park and features a big open field that is great for playing pick up sports such as football, soccer, ultimate frisbee or softball. It also boasts a small community garden as well. Just minutes north of the Park is Olympic Village and access to its seawall along the waterfront with great restaurants and bars.
