Collingwood is a large and rapidly growing neighbourhood on the east side of Vancouver running along the Burnaby border. The area is bounded by 41st Ave, Boundary Rd, 29th Ave, Nanaimo St and Kingsway. Collingwood is one of Vancouver’s earliest settled neighbourhoods, with its first settler in 1891. Multi-family housing developments in Collingwood have grown because of its close proximity to the Expo Line and its central location to main thoroughfares. Although Collingwood is fairly urbanized, there are many parks in the surrounding area where residents can enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. Collingwood is an up and coming neighbourhood with ethnic diversity, recreational spaces and urbanized centres.
