North Vancouver – Indian River

Indian River is a residential neighbourhood that sits right at the base of Mount Seymour. This area is surrounded by nature and is very quiet. There are great parks, outdoor spaces and activities readily available. This is a great neighbourhood to raise a family or if you are just looking to get some more peace and quiet.

Neighbourhood amenities

Indian River is a neighbourhood that is just off of the road that leads up to Mount Seymour. Many residents living in this area are minutes away from being on top of one of the most beautiful mountains in the Lower Mainland. There are an extensive network of trails that run throughout the mountain that will satisfy hikers of all levels. In addition, Mount Seymour boasts some of the best skiing and backcountry exploring in Vancouver. During the summer months, many people migrate towards this mountain because it offers great hikes and spectacular views of the Lower Mainland.
Indian River Park is located in the heart of the neighbourhood. This park boasts tennis courts, wooded areas, playgrounds and open fields. Indian River Park is a great place to spend time with family or friends in a more casual outdoor environment compared to the mountains. Furthermore, Northlands Golf Course is located just minutes away. This 18-hole golf course is a great place to spend the day relaxing and golfing on one of the most beautiful courses in North Vancouver.

Transit

Mount Seymour Parkway is the neighbourhood’s closest major thoroughfare that runs east-west. Highway 1 can be accessed via Mount Seymour Parkway and is a very easy and direct way of getting around the Lower Mainland. Transit users can find bus routes that run through the neighbourhood.

Detached houses make up the majority of Indian River’s real estate; however, limited condos and townhomes are also available.
