Southwest Marine is bordered by W 49th Ave to the north and W 70th Ave to the south. Southwest Marine Dr marks its western border, whereas West Blvd and Granville St is its eastern border, split at W 64th Ave. This neighbourhood has gone through some redevelopment on the southeastern section near Granville St and W 70th with new mixed use towers going up.

Neighbourhood amenities

Southwest Marine is mostly residential with a small commercial district along Granville St and 70th Ave. The neighbourhood is well serviced by parks including Maple Grove Park which boasts an outdoor pool, picnic areas and plenty of green space. Fraser River Park is Southwest Marine’s most notable park as it offers scenic views of the Fraser River and great walking trails and open fields for picnics along the water. Furthermore, Southwest Marine is located right beside McCleery Golf Course and Marine Drive Golf Club. Southwest Marine is a great place for those who love the outdoors and love being close to the water.

Southwest Marine is located in a corner of Vancouver that is not serviced by a Skytrain in the proximate area. However, Southwest Marine Drive is a major road that can provide drivers with direct access to eastern and western parts of Vancouver. Granville St is an east-west corridor that has direct access to Downtown Vancouver and Richmond.
