The neighbourhood runs along the south shore of False Creek from Burrard St to Ontario St and extends south until W 6th Ave. False Creek was a mainly industrial area until the 1970s when the area surrounding Granville Island was urbanized with parks, residential neighbourhoods, waterfront access and community amenities.
