Dunbar is a residential neighbourhood tucked right on the border of Pacific Spirit Park between W 16th Ave and W 41st Ave. The neighbourhood extends all the way east to Dunbar. Dunbar is mostly made up of residential areas with small pockets of commercial communities scattered throughout. The streets are lined with cherry trees making for a beautiful spring and adding to the unique and beautiful nature of Dunbar.

Dunbar is right next to Pacific Spirit Park, a 2160 acre park with over 73 km of walking trails through a beautiful forest and access to waterfront views and beaches. The park offers residents access to nature right at their doorsteps. It is a nature reserve and serves as a great place for running, biking and even horseback riding. In addition, Pacific Spirit Park has on and off leash areas for dog owners. It serves as a peaceful and quiet escape from the normal busy urban life.
Dunbar is home to two small shopping districts where residents can find neighbourhood stores, professional services, restaurants, cafes and grocery stores. In addition, along Dunbar St are various commercial areas that offer similar amenities.
