Hastings East a residential neighbourhood located in the north-eastern corner of Vancouver sharing its border with Burnaby. The area is bounded by the Burrard Inlet to the north, Hastings St to the south, Nanaimo St to the west, and Boundary Rd to the east. This beautiful neighbourhood encompasses the PNE, Empire Field, Pacific Coliseum, and the Hastings Racecourse. It is a beautiful and historic, family-friendly neighbourhood centrally located to schools, parks and other essential amenities.
Neighbourhood Amenities
East Village is a commercial shopping district found along E Hastings St near Nanaimo. It is a perfect reflection of the cultural diversity found in Vancouver. Here, visitors and residents can find great authentic ethnic restaurants, neighbourhood shops and grocery stores.
New Brighton Park is Hastings East’s best park and may be one of the nicest parks Vancouver has to offer. Situated right along the Burrard Inlet, it boasts an outdoor pool open during the summer, beautiful green spaces, access to beaches and beautiful views of the North Shore mountains. It is a perfect place to spend the day with your family and friends. The PNE is located just south of the park. During the summer months, the PNE hosts an exhibition with live music, entertainment and food. It is great for spending the day with the kids or to check out the live music and entertainment. For hockey lovers, the home of the Vancouver Giants is at the Pacific Coliseum which is located adjacent to the PNE.
Hastings Community Centre offers locals a family drop-in centre, fitness gym, a computer room, a racquetball court, an outdoor pool, and tennis courts. In addition, you can find a public sports field on Empire Field that is home to many soccer teams and a baseball diamond which hosts the Hastings Little League.

Residents of Hastings East are right in the heart of a major east-west corridor, making it quick and easy to either drive or take public transit into the heart of Downtown Vancouver. There are multiple major bus routes that run through Hastings St.
Hastings East Real Estate
Detached homes make up the majority of the residential real estate market in Hastings East. Multi-family residential units have been recently developed in area, however.
