Grandview, or, as it’s more commonly known, “The Drive” is the cultural centre of Vancouver, housing artists, musicians and white-collared workers. This neighbourhood is unique as people from many different walks of life come together. Grandview extends from Venables St all the way down to Stainsbury Ave and Nanaimo St. Clark Dr and Nanaimo St mark its western and eastern borders, respectively. Commercial Drive, or “The Drive”, is home to many festivals including Italian Day, Car-Free Day and the Parade of Lost Souls. With great bars, restaurants and cafes, Grandview is easily becoming one of the hottest neighbourhoods in Vancouver.
Neighbourhood Amenities
Grandview is most commonly known for “The Drive” and has long been known as Little Italy. Its streets are lined with numerous restaurants, bars and “hipster” coffee shops. A variety of ethnic cuisines including Mexican, French, Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese, Middle Eastern and Ethiopian can be found throughout. The Drive is also home to Kishimoto, one of Vancouver’s best sushi restaurants. Make sure to be ready to wait as there are lines out the door every night. Vancouverites are known for their coffee loving culture and no other place displays it better than Commercial Drive with coffee shops on almost every block from Broadway to Venables St. Coffee shops area great place to meet locals and engage in conversation with people from completely different backgrounds; Joe’s Cafe is a prime example of a neighbourhood staple. There is also a big beer culture on The Drive. It helps that it is in walking distance to four microbreweries (Parallel 49, Strange Fellows, Bomber Brewing and Off the Rail).
Trout Lake Park is a beautiful park to visit any time of the year. It features beautiful green spaces, walking trails around the lake and open fields for recreational sports. Trout Lake a gathering place for many residents in Grandview. Grandview’s bike friendly streets promote an active lifestyle without the need of a car.
Britannia Community Centre can be found centrally in Grandview and offers great amenities such as a swimming pool, fitness centre, indoor gyms, an ice rink, and a library. In addition, they offer great programs for family and children year-round. It is a great centre with a focus on providing its residents with a variety of programs that educate, diversify and expand the knowledge of everyone in the Grandview neighbourhood.

Transit
Great car-sharing programs and its close proximity to Downtown Vancouver and its essential amenities allow residents to be car free. Grandview is located near Adanac St, a major bike route, that leads into the heart of Downtown Vancouver. Commercial-Broadway Station provides transit users quick and easy access to Skytrain systems.
Grandview Real Estate
Apartments and Condos can be found along major routes such as Commercial Drive, Clark Drive and Nanaimo Street, however, the neighbourhood is mostly comprised of detached homes. Beautiful heritage homes with tons of character can be found throughout Grandview, with prices averaging$1.5 million in 2016.
