Vancouver East – Fraser

Fraser is an ethnically diverse and culturally rich neighbourhood located south of East 16th Avenue and north of East 49th. It is bound on the east and west by Ross St and Prince Edward St, respectively. This neighbourhood is a reflection of the multi-cultural vibrancy that Vancouver has to offer. Neighbourhood stores, national grocery chains, restaurants, and shopping can be found all along Fraser St.

Neighbourhood Amenities

Fraser is filled with tree lined streets and parks, so green space is never hard to find. Memorial South Park is Fraser’s most notable park. It houses a 6-lane running track, multiple sports fields, including a turf field (perfect for soccer, football, ultimate frisbee and lacrosse), baseball diamonds and tennis courts.

Fraser St offers a wide variety of local neighborhood shops, ethnic restaurants and food stores, cafes and professional services. Business owners of this area are shown great support its residents and thereby creating a strong sense of community.

In addition, cyclists can enjoy an extensive network of bike lanes and drivers are in close proximity to major arterial routes along 41st, 33rd, 49th, Kingsway and Knight St.

Fraser is mostly made up of “Vancouver Special” homes with long narrow lots.
