Lower Lonsdale is a neighbourhood that lies just south of Keith Road and extends from Berwicke to Moody Avenue. It is one of the hottest places to live in North Vancouver and is just a short Seabus ride away from Downtown Vancouver!
Lower Lonsdale is home to the Lonsdale Quay where it houses a major transportation hub, night market, restaurants, and the Lonsdale Quay Market. Lonsdale Quay Market was born during Expo ’86. It has become a Vancouver institution and is loved by locals and visitors. This market is home to over 80 vendors including trendy retail stores, restaurants, cafes, fresh food vendors, and even a brewery. It is a great place to spend the day, exploring the different stores and discovering new and exciting things.
Shipyards Night Market can also be found at the Quay and is an annual weekly event that occurs during the summer. Here you can find fresh food made locally, food trucks, live music and entertainment.
There are also two beautiful parks: one is located right on the water and features a nice walkway along the water and a dock that extends out into the inlet; the other,Victoria Park, is located right along Keith Road. It was built as a memorial park for the war veterans but is enjoyed by many residents who live in the nearby area. It is a great strolling park with open green spaces and benches where you can sit and relax.
