At the top of Capilano Road, along Nancy Green Way, is a small residential neighbourhood that lies right at the base of Grouse Mountain. Grousewoods Park is in the heart of the neighbourhood and has a tennis court and a walking trail that runs along a creek, which is great for someone who is looking for a more casual nature walk. There is also a big park on the bottom left corner of the Grouse Woods which features various sport fields that are great for soccer, baseball, ultimate frisbee, and football. Cleveland Park overlooks the Cleveland Dam and Capilano Lake. It is a great place to spend the day with family and friends while enjoying the outdoors.
Grouse Mountain is just seconds away from this neighbourhood. It is one of the most popular local mountains and is famously known for its gondola ride up to the ski slopes. During the summer months, Grouse Mountain is a popular destination for visitors and locals alike for its Grouse Grind! The Grouse Grind is a gruelling 2.9km vertical hike that challenges the fitness of anyone who tries it.
