Capilano is a small residential neighbourhood located just north of Highway 1 and east of the Capilano River that has a strong sense of a community feel. Like many residents of the surrounding areas, people who live in Capilano are in close proximity to many parks, schools and outdoor activities.
Capilano Suspension Bridge is located just minutes away and is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike for its beautiful walkways, bridges and forested areas. Residents are also near many walking trails that run up the side of Grouse Mountain and Mount Froome. Murdo Frazer Park is situated on the southeast corner of the neighbourhood and features tennis courts, walking trails and forested areas. This park is also home to a small 3-hole golf course making it a unique spot for those living in Capilano. The park extends all the way along the creek until it meets the Burrard Inlet.
There is a shopping district located on the corner of Highland Blvd and Edgemont Blvd where residents can find coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, professional services, and other essentials.
Highway 1 can be accessed via Capilano Road which provides many drivers and commuters with quick and easy access to Vancouver’s other major destinations in the Lower Mainland. There are public transportation routes that run through the neighbourhood to Lonsdale Quay Station.
