Eagle Ridge is a residential neighbourhood near Coquitlam Town Centre. It is bordered by Johnson Street, Barnet Highway, Falcon Drive and Guildford Way. Its central location puts shopping, parks and schools within walking distance.
Neighbourhood Amenities
While the perimeter of Eagle Ridge is busy thoroughfares, the residential streets are quiet and safe. That makes it a great neighbourhood for raising a family. Elementary, middle and secondary schools are all located within the neighbourhood.
Nearby Coquitlam Centre is the retail hub of the northeast corner of Metro Vancouver. It is one of the region’s largest shopping centres. It is supported by smaller shopping plazas like Pinetree Centre.
A small stretch of shops, restaurants, cafés, a bank and a fitness centre runs along the southern edge of the Eagle Ridge neighbourhood.
For more leisurely pursuits, the nearby City Centre Aquatic Centre offers a variety of fitness and recreation options, including a wave pool. Across Pinetree Way, the Town Centre Sports Complex has facilities for every outdoor sport from baseball to track and field. The Coquitlam Highland Games is an annual highlight. Or you can just take a relaxing stroll around Lafarge Lake, a manmade lake that used to be a gravel quarry and is now stocked with fish every spring.
Head west along Guildford Way to the Coquitlam Crunch, a 2.25 km hiking trail that ascends 244 metres. It’s a suburban version of Vancouver’s renowned Grouse Grind.

Transit
The Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain station is just a short walk away. There the new Evergreen extension connects to the Millennium Line at Lougheed Town Centre that takes commuters all the way into Vancouver.
The area is also well served by buses that connect to the SkyTrain stations as well as the West Coast Express commuter train at Coquitlam Central.
Eagle Ridge real estate
While the neighbourhood is centrally-located, it remains on of Coquitlam’s more affordable areas. It features a good mix of detached homes, condos and townhomes, many of them constructed in the last 20 years.
