Forest Glen is perfectly situated between tranquil Deer Lake Park, and bustling Metrotown. Plus it comes with views. The neighbourhood is situated on the slope out of the Central Valley and offers expansive views across to Burnaby Mountain and the North Shore Mountains as well as east towards the Fraser Valley. It’s located between Deer Lake Parkway and Kingsway, Willingdon and Royal Oak avenues.
Neighbourhood amenities
Forest Glen is a small neighbourhood of mostly detached single family homes plus a few condo towers and townhouse developments along its southern border.
It’s close to the shopping, restaurants and entertainment of the busy Metrotown business district and it’s only a short walk from the nature trails and cultural escapes of Deer Lake Park.
Metrotown’s Metropolis, Station Square and Crystal malls, as well as independent businesses along Kingsway, satisfy pretty much any shopping, entertainment and culinary desire. The Metrotown SkyTrain station also means the attractions of downtown Vancouver are just a quick train ride away.
Turn in the other direction and escape from the city’s hustle and bustle while walking the tranquil nature trails around Deer Lake. The park is also the city’s culture and arts centre with galleries, studios, theatres as well as the Burnaby Village Museum that recreates life in Burnaby as it might have been in the 1920s.
