Burnaby – Central Park [p.2]

The Central Park neighbourhood runs from Boundary Road in the west to Willingdon Avenue in the east, from Imperial Drive to Moscrop Street. At its heart is Central Park, an 86.4-hectare urban park.
The variety of homes in the neighbourhood runs from condos in towering high rises to large custom-built residences with seven or eight bedrooms.

Neighbourhood amenities

Central Park is the neighbourhood’s centrepiece. Its tall, majestic cedar forest shades an extensive network of walking trails, two large ponds, a pitch-and-putt golf course, tennis courts, an outdoor pool, and a playground that was dedicated by Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana. In the park’s northwest corner, Swangard Stadium hosts regional, national, and international soccer, rugby, and track and field, as well as a number of community festivals.

The Central Park neighbourhood is adjacent to the busy Metrotown shopping, entertainment, and business district. It includes the province’s largest mall, the main branch of the Burnaby Public Library, and numerous independent shops and restaurants.
