Forest Hills is a forested residential neighbourhood at the base of Burnaby Mountain It’s close to Simon Fraser University, the Production SkyTrain station and access to Highway 1. It’s bounded by Arden Avenue to the West, Eastlake Drive on the south and Gaglardi Way to the east.

Neighbourhood amenities

Forest Hills is adjacent to the Burnaby Mountain Conservation area, a 332-hectare park that skirts the slopes of Burnaby Mountain. The park is laced with a network of well-marked hiking and biking trails that offer everything from a leisurely stroll in the woods to a vigorous hike or ride up steep grades.

Many of the trails lead to Burnaby Mountain Park, a landscape hillside park just below the summit of Burnaby Mountain that offers spectacular views across the Georgia Strait to Vancouver Island and up  Indian Arm to the Coast Mountains. The park is also home to the renowned Horizons restaurant, a rose garden and the Playground of the Gods, a sculpture of wooden totems presented to the city by Japanese artists Nuburi and Shusei Toko.

At the western edge of Forest Hills, the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course is a tree-lined 5,800-6,4000 yard course with rolling terrain, a full-service restaurant and club house as well as a driving range.

Forest Hills is also close to the burgeoning Lougheed Town Centre area with a 125-shop mall, the Northgate shopping and condo complex and the Cameron Recreation Centre.

Production SkyTrain station is close to Forest Hills and gives direct access to Downtown Vancouver and other major destinations in the Greater Vancouver Area. This neighbourhood is also walking distance to a bus that takes you directly to SFU and the top of Burnaby Mountain

Forest Hills real estate

A majority of the residential sales in this area have been from townhomes and detached houses. The supply of condos and townhomes is limited.
