Burnaby – Brentwood Park

4567 Lougheed Hwy #260, Burnaby, BC V5C 3Z6

Brentwood Park is a residential neighbourhood near Brentwood Town Centre, between Willingdon Avenue and Springer Avenue. Its quiet, winding, tree-lined streets and smaller detached homes are straight out of 1960’s urban planning and make it ideal for families raising children.

Neighbourhood amenities

Brentwood Park is close to Brentwood Town Centre, which is being redeveloped from a suburban shopping mall to a bustling urban centre with shops, services, office towers and gleaming new condos. The project is infusing the area with new vibrancy as retailers like Whole Foods see its potential.
It’s also attracting new residents from Vancouver who are seeking more affordable family housing but still want Big City amenities and services in their neighbourhood, or a quick transit ride away. Brentwood Park is serviced by two SkyTrain stations, Brentwood and Holdom.
While construction cranes build new towers along Brentwood Park’s southern border, most of the neighbourhood retains its mid-century charm. The park from which Brentwood Park gets its name is at the centre of the neighbourhood, a short walk for most residents.
Just a short distance north, Confederation Park is a huge multi-purpose park with a soccer pitch, running track, outdoor lacrosse box, basketball courts, skateboard bowl, lawn bowling pitch, as well as the Eileen Daily Pool and Fitness Centre. The McGill branch of the Burnaby Public Library is also located at the park, right next to the Confederation Senior Centre.
Brentwood Park is also close to the beloved Heights commercial area on Hastings Street, where Italian delis sit next to Vietnamese Pho restaurants next to French bistros.

Schools

Transit

The neighbourhood is well served by transit for SkyTrain connections into Vancouver, as well as buses to Metrotown and Simon Fraser University.
Commuters have a direct route into Vancouver along the Lougheed Highway or Highway 1 at the Willingdon on ramp.

Brentwood Park real estate

Brentwood Park consists mostly of single-family detached homes, many of them bungalows. New development along Lougheed Highway and at Brentwood Town Centre is adding a significant amount of condos and townhouses.
