Burnaby – The Crest

The Crest is a residential neighbourhood of small and large homes, townhouses, parks, schools and amazing views across the Central Valley to Burnaby Mountain and the North Shore mountains. It is bordered by 10th Avenue to Highway 1, Cumberland Street to the Brunette River.

Neighbourhood amenities

The Crest is nestled between three green areas, all of which offer hiking and walking opportunities along natural trails and buffer the neighbourhood from the traffic of Highway 1. If you didn’t look at a map, you’d be hard-pressed to know the highway is even there!

Robert Burnaby Park, in the neighbourhood’s northwest corner, is a mostly hidden gem with nature trails, babbling brooks, an off-leash area for dogs, an outdoor swimming pool, a playground and one of the prettiest baseball diamonds in Metro Vancouver, surrounded by tall cedars.

Just to the north, Burnaby Lake Regional Park is an urban oasis where a walk along the trails surrounding the lake will take you past beaver lodges, a boggy marsh, a competitive and recreational rowing basin, as well as rugby and cricket pitches.
Brunette River Park runs along the Crest’s northeast border where shaded trails provide welcome relief on a hot summer day, and sport fishers can try their luck catching a salmon in the river.

The neighbourhood is serviced by a small commercial plaza with a grocery store, restaurants, a bakery and services. It’s also handy to the Edmonds commercial district and New Westminster’s Sapperton district.

Transit

There are public transportation routes that run throughout the neighbourhood and transfer users to various SkyTrain Stations. Drivers also have very easy access to Highway 1 via Cariboo Road. Cyclists can quickly roll to the Central Valley Greenway.

The Crest real estate

Crest’s real estate market is primarily composed of detached houses and townhouses. There have been no recorded condo sales in this area.
