Anmore is secluded, semi-rural neighbourhood of large luxury homes and acreages tucked away in a forested area at the base of Eagle Mountain.

Neighbourhood amenities

Anmore is actually an independent village municipality of just over 1,700 residents. It is connected to the rest of Port Moody by two roads; Sunnyside runs along the northern shore of the Burrard Inlet and East climbs up and over Heritage Mountain. That’s contributed to the area’s sense of isolation and solitude from the hustle and bustle that’s overtaken much of Metro Vancouver.
Anmore is close to nature. The neighbourhood abuts two parks that encompass much of the Pacific Northwest’s diverse beauty. Buntzen Lake’s numerous hiking trails are a gateway into the surrounding mountains. The lake itself is a cooling oasis on hot summer days and a constant lure for fishers and canoeists. A little further west, Belcarra Regional Park features picnic areas, a pier, canoe and kayak rentals as well as a network of easier trails that provide spectacular viewpoints across the Burrard Inlet and up Indian Arm.
When more urban amenities beckon, Coquitlam’s Town Centre area, Newport Village and Port Moody’s historic downtown are a short drive away. Each offers a ranges of shopping, services, restaurants and entertainment. The Port Moody Recreation Centre and Public Library are also nearby.

Bus service to the Anmore neighbourhood is limited. But the Inlet Station for the new Evergreen extension to SkyTrain makes getting into Vancouver or other parts of the Lower Mainland quicker and more convenient.
