Cambie is a beautiful residential neighbourhood with great shopping, stunning parks and amenities perfect for people from all walks of life. Cambie lies between W 16th and W 41st Ave and runs from Ontario St to Oak St. The Canada Line, running through Cambie St, has redeveloped the area creating pockets of commercial communities. Cambie is known for its beautiful parks, most notably Queen Elizabeth Park. On the north-east corner of Queen Elizabeth Park is Nat Bailey stadium where the Vancouver Canadians, a professional baseball team, play their home games. It is a great spot to spend a beautiful summer day watching baseball and eating hot dogs. In addition, Oak Meadow Park and VanDusen Botanical Gardens can be found near the western border of the neighbourhood.
The arrival of the Canada Line has revitalized many of the business districts found along Cambie St. Great neighbourhood shops, restaurants, cafes and bars can be found throughout. Oakridge Centre can be found on corner of Cambie and 41st Ave and offers upscale shopping. In addition, an outlet mall can be found on the corner of King Edward and Oak St which houses a Safeway.
UBC is only about 20 minutes away from Cambie and is a great option for students looking for a place to live during the school year
